Roadrunner’s Net Income Rises for Quarter

Roadrunner Transportation Systems’ second-quarter profit climbed to $14 million, or 37 cents a share, from $10.2 million, or 32 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose to $332 million from $262.5 million a year ago, the company said late Wednesday.

Less-than-truckload revenue, including fuel, rose 13%, to $146.5 million, while truckload revenue jumped 45.2% to $161.2 million.

Its transportation management solutions segment’s revenue rose 16.6% to $27 million.
