RoadOne IntermodaLogistics purchased Jarvis Trans Inc., to continue its expansion in the Northeast.

The deal is the fourth in the last 18 months for the Randolph, Mass.-based RoadOne. In February it merged with Robin Hood Container Express to grow in the Southeast and at ports in Savannah, Ga., Wilmington, N.C., and Charleston, S.C. That followed RoadOne’s acquisition last August of the Midwest carrier Itasca, Ill.-based Global Logistics, building its activity in the Chicago market.

In September 2016 RoadOne purchased Milford, Connecticut-based C&V Trucking, a container drayage company with a presence in the North East and the Port of New York and New Jersey.

Leadership at Jarvis will remain in place, with President Peter Lawless and COO Eric Jones continuing in their roles.

RoadOne offers port and rail container drayage, terminal operations, dedicated truckload services, and transloading, warehousing and distribution solutions. RoadOne ranks No. 9 on the Transport Topics list of top intermodal and drayage providers.

RoadOne reports it has more than 1,200 tractors and access to over 50 million square feet of warehousing, distribution, and transloading space at over 100 locations.
