Return to the Safety Summit
It’s time for another summit, according to the first one’s organizers.
o be held in Atlanta Dec. 6-10, the next national meeting will continue the dialogue among “the best highway safety minds” in the U.S. and North America, said the federal Office of Motor Carriers. If it’s like the Kansas City meeting, it will attract a large number of over-the-road drivers, in addition
o safety specialists, trucking executives, safety enforcement officers, government officials from all levels and critics of the industry.
At that meeting, a great deal of discussion centered on quality driver training, uniform enforcement of safety regulations and the crucial role of technology, in addition to fatigue.
