CHICAGO — Rand McNally Co. announced the latest integration of its TruckPC and TND 760 Fleet Edition software with McLeod Software’s upgraded LoadMaster Enterprise and Powerbroker Version 10.3 applications.
Rand McNally said its TruckPC and TND760 Fleet mobile communications products provide users of McLeod’s enterprise software with vehicle position, messaging capabilities between the cab and dispatcher and detailed hours-of-service data for each driver.
“When you have limited driver hours, you have to maximize every single minute and be able to dispatch drivers that have available time or enough time in order to get the assigned drive complete,” Jim Rodi, Rand McNally’s senior vice president of mobile communications, said at McLeod’s user conference here Monday.
Rodi added that Rand McNally products that work with McLeod have always included driver performance, vehicle positioning and the messaging capability. But the addition of HOS data completes the integration of the companies’ products.
By including the HOS data, fleet operators can better dispatch their drivers and this makes for a better business process, Rodi said.
Rand NcNally said it and McLeod have collaborated on products for 15 years.
