Wireless-services provider Qualcomm Inc. said late Wednesday its fiscal first-quarter profit rose to $648 million or 38 cents a share, up from $620 million or 36 cents a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 rose 16% to $2.02 billion, Qualcomm said in a statement.The company makes OmniTracs and TruckMail systems for mobile in-cab communications and OmniExpress, GlobalTracs and the trailer-tracking T2 Untethered TrailerTracs system.
