P.A.M.'s Third Quarter Profits Rise

ruckload carrier P.A.M. Transportation Services Wednesday reported its third-quarter net earnings jumped to $3.3 million or 32 cents a share, from $2.2 million or 20 cents a year ago.

img src="/sites/default/files/images/articles/pamlogo.gif" width=80 align=right>Operating revenue excluding fuel surcharges rose 8.1% to $85.5 million from $79.1 million a year ago, the company said in a statement.

Revenue per loaded mile before fuel surcharges in the third quarter increased to $1.33 from $1.23 last year, the company said.



P.A.M., Tontitown, Ark., is ranked No. 65 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
