PacLease First to Offer Toll Management
Paccar Leasing Co., a unit of truck maker Paccar Inc., is offering its lease and rental customers automatic toll billing and collection through its PacToll, program, making it the first leasing company to offer toll management nationwide.
Developed in partnership with Bestpass, a toll management system, the program covers all major toll roads and bridges in the United States, the Bellevue, Wash.-based company said.
The Trucking Association of New York founded Bestpass in 2001, and it processes $1.5 million in tolls per day.
“We’re making the transponder-based system available to all of our lease customers, plus our franchises are in the process of installing the transponders in their rental fleet,” Michelle Harry, PacLease’s director of marketing, said in a statement.
PacToll will automatically consolidate all toll road and bridge fees accumulated each month, and the corresponding toll will be added to the lease invoice PacLease said.
PacLease has independent and company-owned full-service leasing locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia.
