Pacer’s Third-Quarter Net Income Rises

ransportation and third-party logistics firm Pacer International said late Tuesday that net income for its third quarter ended Sept. 23 was $14.6 million or 38 cents a share, up from $11.3 million or 30 cents a year earlier.

Revenue rose 0.8% to $441.6 million for the quarter, the company said in a statement.

Income from operations rose 26.7% to $26.1 million, and Pacer said it paid down $16 million of debt in the quarter.



“Income from operations for our retail segment more than doubled for the third quarter,” Pacer’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Don Orris said in a statement.

Pacer is ranked No. 16 the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
