Pacer Reports First-Quarter Loss

Pacer International said Thursday it posted a first-quarter loss after turning a profit in the same quarter a year ago.

Pacer lost $300,000, or 1 cent per share, compared with a profit of $2 million, or 6 cents, a year ago.

Revenue declined 3.5% to $345.9 million, the transportation and third-party logistics firm said.

Intermodal revenue improved 1.9% to $284.9 million.



Logistics revenue dropped 22.7% to $61.1 million.
