he Pennsylvania Turnpike will switch to one-way tolls at the Ohio border in January in an effort to ease congestion, the Associated Press reported.

Starting Jan. 2, westbound truckers and motorists will not pay tolls at the Ohio-Pennsylvania border, AP reported.

Tolls for cars, pickups and motorcycles entering Pennsylvania will be doubled to $3, while tolls for five-axle tractor-trailers will be $12, AP said.

A similar plan to charge tolls in only one direction across the Delaware River Bridge in and out of New Jersey is still years away, officials told AP.
