Pa. Turnpike Seeks Volunteer Truckers for Advisory Panel

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is recruiting 4,000 volunteers who use its highways to provide feedback.

Volunteers will participate in the commission’s research will be rewarded, officials said in a statement.

“We have an obligation to listen to our customers and do everything we can to provide accurate, timely information on some of these major changes that will affect the way they travel,” commission CEO Mark Compton said in the statement. “Whether it is the quality of the road service or concerns about safety or toll rates, we need to continue to keep the lines of communication open and provide customers with new ways to tell us what they think.”

The commission is looking for a cross-section of users, including commercial and passenger drivers, frequent and infrequent users and those who do and do not use the E-ZPass transponder system.

More information about participation is available on the commission’s website.
