Pa. Trucking Firm Helps Buy Air Monitor

A Pennsylvania trucking company donated $7,500 to help the a local clean air board purchase a new air quality monitor for the county, Harrisburg, Pa., CBS affiliate WHP reported on its Web site.

Keen Transport, New Kingstown, Pa., made the donation to Cumberland County to help its air board the monitor, which will identify toxic fine particulates in the air caused by diesel emissions, the station reported.

The company said truckers need to help solve the pollution problem, as the county was named the 14th worst in the country for air pollution, WHP said.

The $15,000 monitor will help locate pollution spots in the county, the station reported.
