Orange EV announced a multiyear agreement to manufacture and deliver more than 25 EV yard trucks to Lazer Spot Inc. this year and next.

Alpharetta, Ga.-based Lazer Spot, the nation’s largest yard management firm, has had Orange EV yard trucks in service for several years, according to Kansas City, Mo.-based Orange EV.

Company data and customer case studies from its six years of deployment, showed customers benefiting from about a 75% reduction in downtime versus diesel yard trucks and up to an 80% reduction in maintenance and repair costs. Plus, using electricity instead of diesel saves about 90% in fuel-related costs, Orange EV noted.

Orange EV expects the next round of trucks to be delivered to Lazer Spot starting in the fourth quarter. Transport Topics
