Old Dominion Freight Line’s Earnings, Revenue Increase

ld Dominion Freight Line Inc. reported Friday it earned $9.3 million or 38 cents a share in the first quarter, up from $5.7 million or 24 cents a year ago.

Revenue rose 29.5% to $236.8 million, the fourth consecutive quarter with greater than 20% revenue growth, the less-than-truckload carrier said in a statement.

The revenue growth showed a 21.5% increase in LTL tonnage and a 3.1% rise in LTL revenue, the company said.



Old Dominion confirmed its 2005 earnings guidance at 50 to 53 cents a share for the second quarter and $2.03 to $2.08 per share for the full year.
