Oil Jumps $4 Following Jobs Report

Oil jumped by more than $4 Friday, the biggest gain in a month, following a report that more U.S. jobs were created in July than economists had expected, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures rose $4.29 to finish the week at $91.42 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

It was the biggest single-day increase since June 29, Bloomberg said.

The Labor Department reported Friday that while the unemployment rate ticked up 0.1% to 8.3%, the U.S. economy added 163,000 jobs, topping forecasts.
