Oil fell from a three-day high to below $88 a barrel Monday as European ministers met to discuss additional funds to help Greece, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures fell 55 cents to finish the trading day Monday at $87.73 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Bloomberg said.

Last Monday, oil closed at $89.28 a barrel, the highest closing price a month. Crude has not finished over $90 on the Nymex since Oct. 19, according to Bloomberg figures.

Diesel and gasoline prices have slid in the past month after spiking in mid-October.

The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline filling-station prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
