irginia officials in charge of the Wilson Bridge project near the nation’s capital are again warning overnight travelers on Interstate 95 to prepare for heavy traffic impacts this week-end near the bridge.

During overnight hours this weekend, I-95 in both directions — part of the Capital Beltway around Washington — each will be reduced to one lane in the affected area during over-night hours, with the remaining one lane on the Beltway’s outer loop periodically closing for 20-30 minute intervals.

As in the past, officials suggested long-distance travelers to travel away from the construction, on the western side of the Beltway, or avoid the bypassing the Washington area altogether by accessing southbound Route 301 near Baltimore, which ties back in with I-95 near Richmond, Va.
