Office Depot to Launch Service for Same-Day Delivery

Retailer Office Depot. Inc. will launch same-day delivery Aug. 28 in Atlanta and Los Angeles, and Sept. 6 in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas.

Deliv will handle the shipments. It is a crowdsourced, last-mile logistics company that provides same-day delivery and returns for omnichannel retailers, local businesses and e-commerce companies, according to Boca Raton, Fla.-based Office Depot.

Customers who shop on officedepot.com will have the option of scheduled same-day delivery between 8-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-2 p.m., 2-5 p.m. or 5-8 p.m., depending upon the time of day they shop. Office Depot plans to waive the delivery fee as an introductory offer.

By the end of 2017, same-day delivery is expected to roll out in several more markets, according to Office Depot.
