ew Jersey is considering converting several existing highways into toll roads, the Star Ledger reported Wednesday.

The plan could add tolls to Interstate 95, 80, 78 and the Pulaski Skyway, the Star Ledger said.

In mid-October, the office of state Treasurer Bradley Abelow issued requests for proposals soliciting the aid of consultants to study the effects of the possible toll conversions, the Star Ledger reported.

Tom Vincz, a spokesman for Abelow, told the Star Ledger that the New Jersey government is still considering responses to the October proposals and has not yet hired any consultants.
