avistar International Corp. said it postponed a scheduled meeting with security analysts and shareowners set for Wednesday because the company's external audit for fiscal year 2005 is still in progress.

The meeting was scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday. Navistar's fiscal year ended Oct. 31.

Navistar is the parent company of International Truck and Engine Corp.

“[O]ur audit process is taking longer than expected,” said Daniel Ustian, Navistar’s chairman and chief executive officer. “We intend for this meeting to take place at the first opportunity when we are able to provide complete Fiscal 2005 results and 2006 guidance.”

The truck maker said its financial results for 2005 will be announced upon completion of the company's external audit and that it expects its Form 10-K to be filed on time in January.
