Navistar Adds Repair, Service Tool Integrations to Diagnostics System

Navistar Inc. said it has integrated repair and service tools from Mitchel 1 Repair-Connect.net, Nexiq Technologies and Noregon Systems Inc. into its remote diagnostics system.

The Mitchel 1 capabilities will allow OnCommand Connection users to access repair manuals, and the Nexiq and Noregon services add in-bay diagnostic tools to integrate scanned data from vehicles, Navistar said in a March 10 statement.

“OnCommand Connection was designed to help our customers more efficiently manage their fleets by allowing them enhanced visibility into the health of their vehicles — regardless of make, model or telematics provider,” Brian Mulshine, Navistar’s director of parts and service technology, said in the statement. “The addition of Nexiq Technologies, Noregon Systems and Mitchell 1 expands the capabilities of this system so we can provide our customers one-stop access to the entire repair ecosystem.”

Launched in 2013, OnCommand is Navistar’s remote diagnostics system for its International trucks. Navistar announced the integrations in Nashville, Tenn., during the annual meeting of American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council.

OnCommand also works with other technologies, including those from Omnitracs, PeopleNet Communications and Teletrac Inc., Navistar said.
