he shippers’ group Nasstrac, also known as the National Small Shipments Traffic Conference, said it has broadened its coverage to cover all modes and market segments of transportation.
Founded in 1952, Nasstrac historically has been focused primarily on less-than-truckload, small package and parcel shipments through advocacy, education, provider relationships, and professional networking initiatives, the group said in a statement.
The group’s newly elected officer team and executive committee made the decision to officially broaden its charter at its recent fall conference in Baltimore.
"Our research fully supports the rationale of our decision to broaden our scope, as many of our members are now decision-makers in all modes of transportation and logistics,” said Brian Everett, executive director. “The association continues to simply react to shifts in the marketplace."
