Multi Group Logistics to Lease 250 Vans From Xtra Lease
Chicago-based Multi Group Logistics completed a deal to lease 250 dry-van trailers from Xtra Lease, the lessor said.
The trailers, equipped with side skirts and low-rolling resistance tires, will increase Multi Group’s truckload fleet to 700 leased dry vans from Xtra Lease.
With deliveries expanding to the West Coast, Multi Group said it needed compliant trailers that would meet the California Air Resources Board’s greenhouse-gas requirements. California requires the use of side-skirted trailers and low-rolling resistance tires on semi-trailers.
Established in 2004 with a fleet of 30 tractors, Multi Group’s fleet has grown to 500 tractors and 775 trailers, Xtra Lease said.
