Mullen to Lead DHL Express Worldwide Operations

ohn Mullen, formerly chief executive officer of DHL Express’ U.S. operations, has been tapped as the company’s new worldwide head, the package delivery firm said Wednesday.

Hans Hickler will succeed Mullen as DHL Express’ U.S. chief executive, the company said in a statement.

Hickler joined DHL Express in 2004 as executive vice president of strategy and business implementation in the U.S. Prior to DHL, Hickler was CEO of APL Logistics.



Last Friday, Deutsche Post World Net, the parent company of DHL, announced plans to realign its management structure, bringing the Express division under the leadership of one Deutsche Post board member. (Click here for previous coverage.)

DHL Express is the third-largest package delivery company in the United States.
