Motor Transport Underwriters Acquired by Hudson Insurance Group

Hudson Insurance Group said it has acquired longhaul trucking underwriter Motor Transport Underwriters. Terms were not disclosed.

MTU will continue to be led by its current president, Greg Bonnell, and operate out of Indianapolis, according to Hudson.

“Hudson is the perfect fit for our customers given Hudson’s financial security and long-term commitment to the trucking industry. We are excited about joining Hudson and are confident of a seamless transition,” Bonnell said.

Hudson is a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited.

“This acquisition gives us a unique opportunity to make permanent our partnership with a premiere risk-management and claims-handling operation. We are very fortunate and very pleased to have Greg and his entire team joining us,” Hudson President Chris Gallagher said in a statement.
