MiX Telematics Hires Pete Allen to Lead North American Sales

MiX Telematics, a global supplier of fleet-management technology, said it has hired Pete Allen as executive vice president of sales.

Allen was previously CEO of telematics provider Cadec Global Inc. He has also held positions at Inthinc and GreenRoad, developers of driver behavior apps, and Xata Corp., which is now part of Omnitracs.

In the May 7 announcement, Allen said the primary reason he joined MiX Telematics was the company’s “service for life” approach, which includes ongoing, proactive support of both hardware and software for the life of the contract.

“I’m confident that with Pete and his staff in place, we’ll be able to increase our presence in North America faster than ever before,” said Skip Kinford, CEO of MiX Telematics in the Americas.

MiX Telematics said it provides fleet and mobile-asset management services to customers managing 500,000 assets in more than 120 countries. The firm has offices in the United States, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Uganda, Brazil, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
