Mitchell 1 Software Tackles Shop Management
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Mitchell 1 released new shop management software to assist independent repair shops with improving key aspects of their business, according to the company.
“This is not fleet maintenance,” Mitchell 1 General Manager Scott DeGiorgio said. “It’s very much for independents.”
The software program “gives you all the information you would need for the operation of that facility and business,” DeGiorgio said.
That includes repair orders, labor times, parts orders, invoices, customer and vehicle information, he said in a presentation that was part of the Technology & Maintenance Council annual meeting here. TMC is a division of American Trucking Associations.
In all, the software can generate 250 reports, the Poway, California-based company said.
“It’s pretty complex, there are a lot of pieces to this” and training is available, DeGiorgio said.
