Michigan Consumer Index Unchanged From Earlier Reading

he University of Michigan’s final consumer sentiment index for July held steady at a 96.5, the same as a preliminary reading issued two weeks ago.

he gauge was up from a 96 reading in June and economists had predicted a 95 level for July, Bloomberg reported.

The current conditions index rose to 113.5 from 113.2 in June, while the expectations index improved to 88.5 in July from 85 in June.
