Maryland DOT Official to Head FHWA’s Office of Freight Management

Caitlin Rayman an official at the Maryland Department of Transportation has been tapped to direct the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Freight Management and Operations.

Rayman is the MDOT assistant secretary for transportation policy and freight and will succeed Tony Furst who is now FHWA’s associate administrator for safety, according to the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors where Rayman is an active member.

She has been with Maryland DOT since 2007 and previously was with the North Carolina Department of Transportation as federal legislative programs coordinator.
