Dier, Craig, Chambers

Heavy-duty equipment manufacturer Marmon Highway Technologies named Kelly Dier to the newly created position of chairman and said it will now operate through two divisions, highway technologies and automotive solutions, to reflect and support its rapid and ongoing growth.

Dier was most recently president of the company.

John Craig was named president of Marmon Highway Technologies. He was formerly president of the company’s trailer and truck unit.

Glenn Chambers becomes president of Marmon Automotive Solutions, a new unit. He was most recently president of its highway components division.

“Both Glenn Chambers and John Craig are long-term senior MHT executives who have spent their entire careers in the highway transportation markets. This new structure continues MHT’s long history of bringing the highway transportation industry exceptional products and support through decentralized and highly focused business units,” Dier concluded.

Craig’s sector will serve heavy-duty highway customers and includes businesses producing fifth wheels, brake and wheel-end components, severe-duty axles, springs, truck modifications and platform and heavy haul trailers, the Birmingham, Alabama-based company said.

Among the brands in this group are Fontaine Fifth Wheel, Fontaine Trailer, Fontaine Modification, TSE Brakes, Marmon Herrington, SISU, Triangle Springs and Webb Wheel Products, it said.

Chambers’ unit will serve automotive aftermarket customers and includes businesses supplying a variety of innovative under car, ride control, and engine management products, it said. Brands in this group include Perfection, TECHnovation clutch hydraulics and Marmon Ride Control.

The reorganization is underway and scheduled to become official Jan.1, said the company, a unit of Berkshire Hathaway Co.
