Marchbank to Succeed Connard as President of Trimac’s US Operations

Bulk carrier Trimac Transportation announced that Tom Connard, president and chief operating officer for its U.S. operations, will retire Aug. 1.

He will be succeeded by Bill Marchbank, who is currently vice president of operations, on the same date.

Under Connard’s leadership, Trimac diversified its businesses by creating its industrial gas and oilfield services trucking product lines and grew its tank repair and tank washing services, the company said.

Connard was a “critical part of our U.S. team and has left his mark on Trimac,” Chairman and CEO Jeff McCaig said in a statement. “We are grateful for his many valuable contributions throughout the years.”

James Winton will replace Marchbank as vice president of operations. Winton is currently director of central operations.

Trimac Transportation is part of Calgary, Alberta-based Trimac Group, which ranks No. 40 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
