CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A maintenance worker shot and killed himself after fatally shooting his supervisor at a local trucking terminal.
Police said George Edward Moore, 58, entered the terminal Friday afternoon, warned other employees to get out of the way, and then shot Scott Simpson, 47, with a handgun.
"This was not a random shooting," said police spokesman Keith Bridges. "He intended to kill him. There was obviously something between the two."
Derrick Hooker, who works on the loading docks at Watkins Motor Lines, said he spoke with Moore just hours before the shooting.
"He told me the supervisor was messing with him," Hooker said.
