Lineage Buys U.S. Growers Cold Storage, Adding Eight SoCal Warehouses

Lineage Logistics has purchased eight temperature-controlled warehouses under the U.S. Growers Cold Storage brand in Southern California.

The acquisition will bring the U.S. Growers company into the Lineage portfolio, adding more than 12 million cubic feet of warehousing in the Los Angeles area with access to Southern California’s major freeways, rail facilities and ocean container terminals, including a 250,000-square-foot Lineage transload facility at the Port of Long Beach.

In total, the logistics and warehousing provider now owns more than 20 locations in Southern California.



“While we have existing operations and deep experience in Southern California, this acquisition further represents Lineage’s commitment to grow with customers and optimize their supply chains in a desirable core market,” Lineage CEO Greg Lehmkuhl said.

“Lineage is a dynamic company with the sophistication and scale to deliver innovative, impactful solutions,” U.S. Growers CEO Angelo Antoci said. “We are confident they will continue to provide exceptional service to our customers and great opportunities for our employees.”

In addition to the acquisition, Lineage will continue an ongoing Growers’ existing expansion plans to add more than 25,000 pallet positions in two steps with the initial phase due to be finished in May 2018.
