Letter to the Editor: Language Issue

Please do not let Mexican trucks across the border. How many more breakdowns will we see in this country along the roads? Will the drivers understand English so that if they hear something that they can respond?

We have already seen it locally where a family of six died [after their van struck material that had fallen from a truck driven by a non-English-speaking driver]. The driver [said he] did not understand warnings [about the loose equipment] before the accident.
