Knight’s Income and Revenue Rise in First Quarter

ruckload carrier Knight Transportation Inc. said late Wednesday its net income for the first quarter was $12.8 million or 22 cents per share, compared with $9.3 million or 16 cents a year earlier.

The company’s revenue increased 30% to $122.2 million, Knight said in a statement.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Knight said the company “was pleased with revenue growth of 23%, before fuel surcharge, and 30% including fuel surcharge."



Knight is ranked No. 57 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
