hris Patterson, chief executive officer of Freightliner, said falling U.S. demand for heavy-duty trucks will likely prompt the truck maker to slash jobs, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

Patterson also told AP that Freightliner will likely cut an unspecified number of jobs at its North American manufacturing facilities in the months to come.
