ITS Logistics has promoted Greg Sanders to take over as CEO, replacing Jeff Lynch, who started the business with two college buddies in 1999 and who will remain a part-owner and member of the board of directors.

Sanders has been chief commercial officer for the Reno, Nev.-based firm and oversaw growth of ITS National, the company’s freight brokerage division, over the past two years. ITS National ranks No. 59 on Transport Topics’ list of the largest freight brokerage firms in North America.

“I’m incredibly excited to take over as CEO of ITS Logistics,” Sanders said in a statement May 9. “Jeff has built a great foundation, and we have a bright future ahead of us. We’re in a fast-growing region, have a strong, diversified business model and have incredibly talented people.”

Sanders previously worked as chief commercial officer at Redwood Logistics and as president of OHL-North American Transportation. He also has had executive positions with Schneider and Landstar System.

ITS Logistics’ service portfolio includes a dedicated fleet of 300 power units and 600 trailers, warehousing and distribution and multimodal freight brokerage. In 2015, the company received financial backing from McNally Capital to support accelerated growth.

Managing partner Ward McNally said the firm has “the greatest confidence” in Sanders and his vision for the business. “This company is just getting started,” McNally said.
