Iteris Offers Aftermarket Kits in Europe For Its Truck Lane-Departure System

ANOVER, Germany – Iteris Inc. has begun selling an aftermarket version in Europe of its lane-departure system for trucks, the company announced at last month’s Commercial Vehicle Show here.

Up to now, the units have only been available as original equipment on new trucks. The company said the aftermarket kits will cost about $1,450 and can be installed in about two hours.

Iteris, which has headquarters in Anaheim, Calif., has sold some 20,000 of its truck units in Europe, in addition to about 4,000 in the United States. Another 37,000 of its lane-departure units have been installed in cars, the company said.
