IdleAire Reaches $26 Million Sale Agreement

IdleAire Technologies Corp., which provides stationary power for trucks to use at truck stops in lieu of idling, has reached agreement to be sold for $26 million, the Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel reported.

Documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware showed a purchase price of $17.5 million, but an IdleAire attorney said the deal is worth $25 million to $26 million, the paper reported.

The sale will not result in any immediate changes in the operation of the company and the services it provides to truckers, a company official told Transport Topics.

IdleAire spokesman John Doty said in an e-mail message that there have been no changes in operations since the company’s May 12 bankruptcy filing.
