Hub Group’s Earnings Rise

Third-party logistics company and freight broker Hub Group said late Thursday its first-quarter profit rose 25% to $11.4 million or 29 cents a share, from $9.1 million or 22 cents a share a year ago.

Revenue jumped 10% to $393.3 million, the company said in a statement.

Intermodal revenue gained 10.4% to $287.8 million, which included two additional months following its acquisition last year of Comtrak. Logistics revenue rose 16.4% to $30.9 million.

Brokerage revenue gained 7.3% to $74.6 million.



Hub Group said its 2007 earnings would be $1.31 to $1.40 per share.
