Hub Group’s 3Q Profit Rises

Hub Group Inc.’s third-quarter profit rose 14% as its intermodal, logistics and truck brokerage operations improved.

Net income rose to $18.5 million, or 50 cents per share, from $16.2 million, or 44 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose to $805 million, from $752 million, Hub Group said.

Intermodal revenue rose 11% to $444 million, truck brokerage revenue increased 6% to $88 million and revenue at its Unyson Logistics unit rose 14% to $87 million.

Hub Group is ranked No. 40 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
