ess-than-truckload carrier Guaranteed Overnight Delivery said it was discontinuing LTL pickups, the Kansas City Business Journal reported.

New Penn Motor Express, a subsidiary of Yellow Roadway Corp., said in a statement that G.O.D. recommended that former customers use its services.

"We welcome the G.O.D. customers to New Penn and will work hard to exceed the high level of service they enjoyed with G.O.D.," said New Penn President Steve O'Kane.

G.O.D., Newark, N.J., would continue to offer truckload, air freight, warehousing services to customers in the Northeast, the K.C. Business Journal said.

Calls to G.O.D. by Transport Topics on Monday have not yet been returned.
