GE Rail Services Appoints New CEO

E Equipment Services, Rail Services on Tuesday named Jay Wileman its new chief executive officer.

Wileman will be responsible for developing new service offerings and expanding the unit's railcar and intermodal fleets, GE said in a statement.

He succeeds Ted Torbeck, who moved to GE's Corporate unit to lead cost and growth initiatives.



Wileman, who was most recently general manager of Global Services for GE's Oil and Gas business in Florence, Italy, joined the company in 1994 at its Nuclear Energy division. He was promoted to manager of the nuclear unit’s Technical Services business in 2000 and moved to his current position in Oil and Gas in 2002.
