Gasoline Rises 4¢ to $3.97 a Gallon, Lundberg Says
Gasoline rose 4 cents in the past two weeks to $3.97 per gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.
But the ongoing upswing in prices may be leveling off, due to a recent slip in crude oil prices, analyst Trilby Lundberg told Bloomberg News in an interview.
Midgrade and premium each also rose 4 cents to $4.11 a gallon, and $4.22 per gallon, respectively, Lundberg said following her twice-monthly survey of filling stations.
Chicago had the highest average price among cities covered by the survey, at $4.45 per gallon, although was down 11 cents from the most survey. Tulsa, Okla., had the lowest, at $3.66.
The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline pump prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
