Frozen Food Express Reports Income Gain for Quarter

rozen Food Express Industries said late Monday its third-quarter profit rose 41.4% to $5 million or 26 cents a share, from $3.5 million or 20 cents a year earlier.

The truckload carrier’s revenue rose 11.7% to $137.5 million, including fuel surcharges, which were $18.7 million, compared with $8 million a year earlier.

FFE’s operating income rose 83.2% to $8.9 million, it said in a statement.
