Former Celadon President May Purchase Company’s Subsidiary

Although Celadon Group Inc. President Eric Meek resigned April 28, he’ll remain tied to the truckload carrier for a while longer, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In an agreement between the sides, Meek will receive $20,000 per month for 10 months to serve as a consultant.

But in the noncompetition and nonsolicitation forms signed May 12, Celadon excluded Prosair Technologies. The agreement also stated that Meek “is part owner of an entity which intends to purchase the assets of Prosair Technologies LLC,” without further details.

In January, Prosair Technologies launched FreightRover, a load matching app for smartphones, tablets and desktops similar to CargoChief, uShip and the recently launched Uber Freight platform. Prosair says the app allows drivers to self-dispatch freight that fits their needs, and provides carriers and shippers an open freight platform to connect.”
