FedEx Cooperating With Safety Officials Following Calif. Truck-Bus Crash

FedEx Corp. said the company “is cooperating fully” with officials investigating a crash in Northern California involving a FedEx Freight truck and a tour bus that killed 10 people.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators were heading to the scene Friday following the crash late Thursday, The New York Times reported. The crash happened on Interstate 5 in Orland, Calif., about 100 miles north of Sacramento.

The bus was carrying high school students to a tour of a university, and the California Highway Patrol said the drivers of both the truck and the bus were killed, in addition to several students and their chaperones, the Times reported.

“All of us at FedEx are deeply saddened by the tragic highway accident in California. Our hearts go out to all of those involved and their families,” FedEx said in a statement.
