Expeditors International’s 3Q Earnings Rise

ogistics firm Expeditors International of Washington on Tuesday reported a third-quarter profit of $63.8 million or 29 cents a share, up from $48.4 million or 22 cents a year ago.

Net revenue rose 20% to $339.3 million, total revenue rose to $1.2 billion from $1 billion and operating income rose to $101.3 million from $77.4 million, the company said in a statement.

Results for the third quarter include a one-time credit of $5 million, related to finalization of increases in the company’s ownership stake in various joint ventures, Expeditors said,
