Echo’s Profit Improves in 1Q

Echo Global Logistics said its first-quarter profit jumped to $1.2 million, or 6 cents per share, compared with a loss of $200,000, or 2 cents, a year ago.

 

 

Revenue grew 81.5% to $89.1 million in the quarter ended March 31, compared with $49.1 million in the 2009 quarter.

 



Operating margins grew to 11.9% from 1.1% a year earlier, the Chicago-based third-party logistics company said in a statement.
