Echo Global Logistics’ 4Q Operating Income Rises

Echo Global Logistics said its fourth-quarter operating income rose, and its revenue increased by almost 30% from the same quarter a year earlier.

Net income slipped to $3.3 million, or 14 cents per share, from $3.5 million, or 16 cents, a year earlier.

Operating income rose 11% to $5.8 million, while revenue rose 29.7% to $211.2 million, the company said late Thursday.

The revenue growth came “despite a soft freight environment, and was driven by the investments we are making in our business,” CEO Doug Waggoner said in a statement.
